Speakers
Congressman Jim Oberstar, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Minnesota’s 8th district.

The congressman will discuss the potential high-speed rail line from his perspective as Chair of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Charles R. Wochele, Vice President Industry and Government Relations, ALSTOM Transportation Inc.
Mr. Wochele will present a brief video clip of the record-breaking TGV train run at 357 mph and will discuss the contributions of high-speed rail in other parts of the world and what it would take to establish HSR in the United States.

Guillaume Genin, Business Development Manager, SNCF — French National Railway Europe & Development Division.
Mr. Genin will present insights from SNCF’s Midwest Feasibility Study and discuss the impact of HSR from the standpoint of business development and marketing.

There will be time for questions and answers after all three speakers have presented.
