Vision and Mission

Our Vision and Mission

Strong Foundation. Future Focused.

A Rich Tradition

The first French Chambers of Commerce abroad were established in the middle of the 1800’s and the very first chapter was in New Orleans in 1876. That chapter died out and was reconstituted in the 1970’s.

The New York Chapter, established in 1896, was the only other chapter in the United States until that time. The French American Chamber in Minnesota was officially founded in 1979.

Our Vision

In the spirit of the Voyageur, we provide the bridge for matters related to French-American business and to facilitate French-American relations.

Our Mission

To bring this Vision to reality, we:

  • Identify and create business opportunities, connections, and resources that promote trade between French, Francophone and American companies.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with industry leaders, government agencies, non-profits and other European organizations.
  • Support the development of our members and member companies through the FACCMN branded experience.

Looking Forward

The FACCMN, an independent and non-profit organization, boasts a network of more than 400 individuals and corporate members, as well as a mailing list nearing 2,000 individuals. In addition, we are part of a national network, FACC (French American Chamber of Commerce), as well as an international network, CCI ("Chambre de commerce et d’industrie française à l'international").

Our region in the middle of the country, benefits from an economic vitality, diverse and attractive markets, a highly educated work force, which makes it very attractive for new investment, especially in the life sciences and agri-business industries.

All friends and members receive our e-newsletter and e-invitations to FACCMN events, education and business seminars. We make announcements for local events co-hosted with other organizations such as the Minnesota Trade Office and other international business associations. The FACCMN also offers programs and services including Business Services, facilitating J-1 Visas, and international internships.

Our members benefit from discounts on all FACCMN events and member rates to other FACC chapters in the U.S. Corporate members are given the first priority on event sponsorship opportunities and prominent linkage on our website.
